A Brief History of Sneeky Peek

It all started way back in 1981 with the group originally called MARQUIS. The original members were: Steve Dulaney-vocals, guitars; Dave Kreider-vocals, guitars; Randy Powell- vocals, bass; & Steve Hunt-drums.

We were just a bunch of young high school kids jammin' at the local school dances and a few night clubs. After high school, we lost our drummer and added Ernie Art to replace him. We continued to play the local scene under the name Marquis and Escape.

In 1986 we replaced Ernie on the drums with Tom Gadd. We enjoyed a lot of success with this line-up and even won a recording contest and recorded an original song on a local compilation CD. The song got some radio play at a local radio station.

In 1987 Randy, our bass player, moved to Florida so we had to reform and added Bert Maxwell on bass guitar and Ray Mullins on lead guitar. That year we changed our name to Sneeky Peek. This line-up played for a few years with great success on the local scene.

Sneeky Peek disbanded in 1989 for over 1 year. In 1991 we regrouped and took off where we left off for another few years.

In 1992 Paul Watson replaced Bert on the bass guitar and Tracy Wyler was added to the line up in 1995.

In 1996 Roger Philabaum was added as our lead guitar player. We enjoyed much success with this line-up and opened for such large acts as Eddie Money and .38 Special to name a few. We continued to play the local club scene and have collected a large fan base.

In 2001, Ray Mullins rejoined the band to replace Roger on lead guitar and continued playing the local club scene and still rockin' and have a lot of fun.

In June of 2002, Tracy left to play drums for another local band and we hired Stevie Colaner to replace him.

In October of 2002, Jan Roll was added as our drummer.

In April of 2003, Dave and Jan left the band and Tracy re-joined after a breif haitus.

In January of 2005 Jan Roll returned as our drummer. We continued to play throughout the year with both Jan Roll and Tracy Wyler filling in on drums when one was available.

In January of 2006 we added Gary Morocco as our permanant drummer. Also, Roger Philabaum re-joined the band to help out with vocals and rhythm/lead guitar along side Ray.

August 2006, Gary left the band to pursue a musical career with an established band in Florida. It was a great opportunity and we wish him the best success. Tracy Wyler filled in for the remaining gigs until we could find another permanant drummer.

October 2006 - We added a new drummer from Rogers old band. Jason Hix was added to fill the drummer spot.

January 2007 - Gary returned from his career in Florida and re-joing the band. And the saga continues....

There have been a few other musicians who have jammed with us throughout the years and we would like to thank all of them. Whether it was just to fill-in for a few shows or some side projects we were with, they were greatly appreciated. Some include: Jan Roll, Jason Polan, Brain Cinefro, Tom Cinefro, Mike Harris, Ed Kilpatrick, Todd Wyler, Jim Elliot, Greg Eaton, Randy Miller and more...
